Excellent episode ... and the cake looked mui delicioso! But AB's assembly wasn't very appealing. The layers of the cake were uneven, and as he was addign the frosting, I thought I was watching Richard Dreyfus in "Close Encounters". But then that's why the love the guy ... he's quirky and not above embracing the addities of cooking.

    As always, his humor is too much (in a good way). the Close Encounter's thing - you know he was a commerical director before he went to cullinary school, right? He loves putting pop culture - esepcially that associated with film media, into his shows and books. fun fun.

    having said that, i hate coconut, so the show was pretty dull for me, from an eater's pperspective.
